I have a question for you - How are you incorporating EGC (Employee Generated Content) into your portal? Into Enterprise Search?
Do you use a separate search?
For Joe's opinion on XYZ - use this search box?
For the Organization with a Capital O's opinion - use this other search box?
I know best practices around using folksonomies and tags employees gave to internal portal content are key in terms of both search and determining what's important; however, what about the content that Joe creates that hasn't been blessed, cleansed, approved, etc.?
Where does that fit in?
More questions than answers I'm afraid, but I wanted to remind myself of them. I was supposed to deliver a talk at a conference in November on this very subject; however, due to, well, you know, that whole downturn..., I will not be able to attend.
